Give Your AI Agent Direct Dials via MCP

The composable GTM stack we wrote about earlier had one manual seam left in it: you, typing. You'd ask your agent to build a target list, then tab over to a tool, run the search, copy slugs, unlock numbers, and paste them back. The agent orchestrated everything except the data call it actually needed.

That seam is gone. MillionPhones now speaks MCP.

What MCP actually is (30 seconds)

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard — think of it as a universal port for AI tools. Instead of every app hand-building a bespoke integration for every model, a service exposes an MCP server once, and any MCP-capable client — the Claude apps, Claude Code, and a fast-growing list of others — can call it. The model sees a short menu of tools and decides, in the middle of a conversation, when to reach for one.

We built one for MillionPhones. Connect it once and your agent can search for people, unlock verified mobile numbers, and build enrichment lists — without you ever leaving the chat.

What your agent can do

Four tools, described the way the model sees them:

• Search people — query the directory by industry, seniority, department, country, and company size. Ask "how many VPs of Sales at 200–500-person SaaS companies in the US?" and get a count back for free, before fetching a single record. Happy with the audience? Have the agent save the matches straight into a table.
• Enrich a profile — get the mobile number(s) for a LinkedIn profile. 10 credits per new unlock; re-looking up the same person is free. Already have a number and just want to confirm it's right? Verifying costs 1 credit, not 10 — the agent knows to use the cheaper path.
• Build and enrich tables — create a reusable list, add profiles to it, and kick off bulk enrichment, all from the conversation. The agent hands you back a table of dial-ready contacts.
• Check the account — current balance, credits used, and plan, so the agent can size a job before it spends anything.

Everything runs on your existing MillionPhones credits and returns the same verified data as our API and web app. There's nothing new to reconcile — it's the same account, reachable a new way.

Connecting takes about a minute

You sign in with your MillionPhones account — there are no API keys to copy around, and access is revocable anytime. Under the hood it's OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, the modern standard MCP clients expect, so the flow is the same one you already trust from "Sign in with…" buttons.

In the Claude desktop or web app, add a custom connector and paste this URL:

You'll go through a sign-in screen once. After that, the tools just show up, and you can ask for phone numbers in the same breath as everything else.

Why this matters for outbound

The whole thesis of the modern GTM stack is that the workflow builder isn't the moat — the data is. MCP takes that one step further: the agent becomes the interface, and the data provider is just a tool it calls.

That changes the day-to-day in a few concrete ways:

• No glue code for the last mile. You don't write a script to fetch numbers and stitch them into your list. You ask, and the agent does it — search, save, enrich, done.
• The data lands where the work happens. Research, list-building, and messaging increasingly live inside an AI chat. Verified direct dials now live there too, instead of in a tab you have to remember to open.
• Cheap to iterate. Counts and audience sizing are free. Re-unlocks are free. Verifying a number you already have is a tenth the cost of a fresh unlock. You can explore a segment without watching a meter the whole time.

You stay in control

Handing tools to an agent only works if the guardrails are real:

• It spends your credits, and it can check them first. The account tool lets the agent confirm the balance before starting a bulk job, so a big list doesn't surprise you.
• Unlocks are idempotent. If a teammate — or an earlier prompt — already unlocked a number, pulling it again costs nothing.
• You see the tier. Every number comes back marked verified or community, so the agent (and you) know how much weight to put on it.
• Access is revocable. It's an OAuth connection, not a pasted secret. Disconnect it from your account settings anytime and the tools go dark immediately.

The best outbound teams in 2026 aren't the ones with the most tabs open. They're the ones whose tools disappear into the workflow — and whose data actually connects when a rep dials.
