Buy Credits When You Need Them — at the Rate You Already Pay
Running out of credits mid-campaign is the worst possible moment to be asked to upgrade a plan.
You have a list. You have a dialer open. You have a rep with an afternoon blocked out. And the tool says: come back next month, or move to the next tier — which you'll then be paying for every month after this one.
So we fixed it. As of today you can buy one-off credits on MillionPhones. No plan change, no upsell wall, and — the part we care most about — you buy them at your current subscription rate. Not a "top-up price." The same per-credit cost you already agreed to.
What we shipped
Go to Billing → Buy credits, pick how many, pay, done. The credits land in your balance the moment the payment clears.
- Your rate, not a premium. On a Pro plan, a purchased credit costs exactly what a subscription credit costs you — we read the price straight off your plan. A team on 40,000 credits a month pays $300 for those, which is 0.75¢ a credit; a one-off block of 10,000 costs them $75. No separate rate card.
- Free accounts can buy too. You don't need a subscription. Free users buy at the list rate — $5 per 100 credits, which is ten verified mobile numbers. Have a list to call today? Buy today.
- Bought credits never expire. Same rule as every other credit on MillionPhones. What you paid for is yours until you use it.
- Sized to your plan. Purchases come in steps that match your volume — 100 credits on small plans and free accounts, 1,000 on mid-size plans, 10,000 and up on the largest — so the numbers stay sensible at every scale.
- Team admins buy, the whole team spends. Credits are shared across your organization, the same way subscription credits are.
There is one ceiling, and we'd rather say it here than surprise you: in any 30-day window you can buy up to one month's worth of your plan (500 credits on a free account). That's a fraud brake, not a business model — if you legitimately need more than a month's allotment in one go, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Why "at your rate" is the whole point
Almost every tool in this category will sell you more credits. Very few will sell them to you the way they sold you the plan.
The standard move is the overage rate: a per-credit price for extras that sits well above what your plan works out to, on the theory that a customer who has run out is a customer who will pay. The second standard move is to not publish that number at all — you discover it in the billing screen after you've already run dry. The third is to attach an expiry to what you just bought.
We think a credit is a credit. If your plan says 0.75¢, the extra ones are 0.75¢. If you've never subscribed, you pay the list rate that's on our pricing page. Either way you can see the exact price before you click Buy.
The market, as of August 2026
We went through the public pricing pages of the tools people compare us with most often. Here is what they say about buying extra credits — not what a sales rep might offer, what the page says.
| Tool | Can you buy extra credits? | Without a subscription? | Price published? | Do extra credits expire? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MillionPhones | Yes — at your plan's per-credit rate | Yes ($5 / 100 on free) | Yes — shown before purchase; list rate on the pricing page | Never |
| Apollo | Yes — "once you're signed up and logged in" | No | Not on the pricing page | Plan credits reset monthly |
| Lusha | Yes — "add credits anytime through your account settings" | No — free plan is told to upgrade | Not on the pricing page | Annual plans: unused credits reset at year end |
| Kaspr | Yes — add-ons "for users with subscriptions" | No | Not on the pricing page | Add-ons "billed for your next renewal period" |
| Hunter | Yes — "Credit Packs" add-on on paid plans | No | Not on the pricing page | Usable "up to 12 months from purchase" |
| UpLead | Yes — $0.50–$0.60 per credit, "custom" on higher tiers | No | Partly (entry tiers only) | Not stated |
| Surfe | Not offered on the pricing page | No | — | Fixed monthly/annual quotas |
| SignalHire | No standalone purchase — subscription tiers only | No | — | Tied to the subscription |

Three patterns fall out of that table.
Nobody in this list sells credits to someone who hasn't subscribed. Apollo, Lusha, Kaspr and Hunter all have an "add credits" path — for paying customers. A free account is offered exactly one door, and it says "upgrade." If you need forty numbers this afternoon and you don't want a monthly plan, you are out of luck everywhere except here.
Almost nobody publishes the extra-credit price. UpLead is the honorable exception on its entry tiers. Everyone else tells you the price after you've run out, which is precisely when you have the least leverage.
Expiry is the quiet second charge. Buy a pack and it's on a clock — twelve months at Hunter, ninety days for Snov.io's tokens, "your next renewal period" at Kaspr, year-end at Lusha on annual plans. On MillionPhones it isn't on any clock.
And then there's the enterprise tier of the market — Cognism, ZoomInfo, Seamless.AI's paid plans — where the question doesn't even apply: you don't buy credits, you sign an annual contract, and more credits means a conversation with your account manager. That is a fine way to sell to a 200-seat sales org. It's a strange way to sell to a founder with a list.
Who this is for
- Teams that have a peak. Quarter-end, a conference, a product launch. Keep the plan that fits your normal month; buy the spike.
- Free-tier users with a real list. Fifty free credits get you started; when you're ready to actually run a call block, buy a hundred credits for five dollars and go. No subscription decision required.
- Anyone who has been burned by overage rates. Your top-up price is your plan price. We don't have a second number.
What hasn't changed
Everything else about how credits work on MillionPhones is exactly as it was: you're charged only when we return a number, every result is labeled Verified or Community, and credits — bought or subscribed — never expire. Buying credits is additive; it doesn't touch your subscription, your renewal date, or your tier. This just closes the one gap that was left: what happens when you run out at the wrong moment.
Now the answer is: you buy what you need, when you need it. That's it.
